Building on the knowledge and experience gained in building the IT-Analysis and IT-Director websites, electronicdawn was approached by one of our content partners, Bloor Research, to redesign their site and add extra functionality.

Bloor Research is a respected independent IT analyst company in the UK, with a customer list of top-flight IT vendor companies and partnerships with a number of suppliers. They wanted their site to reflect their tagline “telling the right story”, and the operations team at Bloor were heavily involved in guiding the direction of the redesign.

A fully-fledged content management system was designed to handle the unique way that Bloor wanted to operate, which resulted in their analysts being able to sign on to the site and interact with Bloor’s clients and customers from just the one area. Here they can add content such as articles, blogs, news items and events they are currently involved with, respond to requests and comments from the client list and manage the micro sites that every client has within the main Bloor framework that they have responsibility for.

Interactivity has been designed in so that each micro site can be fully customised for the client’s needs and is populated with content from Bloor and the wider internet, based on a tag system. A membership system has also been built in to the site, giving access to the company’s wide ranging PDF library, as well as other services.

As part of the rebuild, all of the content and the structure of the site was made to be extremely accessible and SEO-friendly, gaining Bloor a very strong showing in search engines and allowing everyone access, whatever their ability.
