electronicdawn has come about as a long-overdue collaboration between two ex-Bloor Research employees who were working in the publishing side of the business – Miles Wolstenholme on the web sites (along with stints as IT technician) and Brian Smithson on the print and electronic publishing side.
Miles is a thirty-something family man who spends way too much time coding and not enough time sleeping. If he is not in front of his computer, wrestling gnarly CSS problems to the ground, he is reading up on the latest technologies to enhance his already considerable knowledge about the web, PHP, coding, colour design & theory and accessibility.
Brian is the senior of the firm and is - getting on a bit. Recently married for the second time, he has a passion about making things look good on the page or screen. To that end, he works with tools such as Photoshop, Flash, InDesign and Illustrator and, like Miles, is constantly checking out new resources and skills.
We have invested heavily in making sure that we use modern systems and classic care (this is not just an empty slogan) to build publishing solutions to exceed the expectations of our clients. We have our own web server, for instance, where we have total control over the environment and, therefore, offer exceptional support. We offer a range of services so that clients can be as involved as they want to be in building their communications. We will, however, be as forthright in our opinions about making the project work correctly. Life is not dull!
Our vision for electronicdawn is to build a client list who, like us, have that passion to make things work just right and appreciate that we are there to help them get their message across. I’m sure you are one of those people, otherwise you would not be reading this. Go on - contact us and we will get the ball rolling.
